Terms & Conditions

Effective as of May 2025

These Terms & Conditions are provided in conjunction with the Client Contract Agreement and apply to all services rendered by Masata Events.

1. Booking & Payments

  • A non-refundable 25% booking fee is required to secure your date.

  • Remaining balance is due 14 days before the event date.

  • Payments not received by the due date may result in service cancellation without refund.

  • Your booking is only confirmed once payment is received and the contract is signed.

2. Refunds & Cancellations

  • The booking fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • If a cancellation occurs within:

    • 30+ days: Only booking fee is retained.

    • 15–30 days: 50% of the total fee is due.

    • 14 days or less: 100% of the total fee is payable.

  • Refunds are not issued for dissatisfaction with design or styling if the services were delivered as agreed.

3. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must ensure venue access and permissions are granted.

  • Masata Events is not responsible for delays or obstacles caused by:

    • Venue restrictions

    • Missing or incorrect details

    • Inaccessible setups

    • Late-running events

4. Styling & Creative Direction

  • Masata Events will provide styling based on the consultation and confirmed design plan.

  • While every effort is made to match styling preferences, slight variations may occur due to availability or environmental factors.

  • Creative substitutions (within your theme and budget) may be made if specific materials or products are unavailable.

5. Third-Party Vendors

  • Masata Events may recommend or liaise with external suppliers but does not accept liability for their performance.

  • The client is responsible for any contracts and payments with third-party vendors unless arranged directly through Masata Events.

6. Set-Up & Breakdown

  • Access to the venue must be available at least 6 hours before and after the event for setup and takedown (as agreed).

  • The client is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean workspace for the team.

  • Any delays or early closures at the venue may impact the final result.

7. Damage or Loss

  • The client is responsible for any damages or loss to hired items or décor caused by guests or venue staff.

  • Replacement fees will be charged at full retail value if items are lost or damaged.

8. Force Majeure

  • Masata Events shall not be liable for delays or cancellations caused by:

    • Natural disasters

    • Illness

    • Extreme weather

    • Government restrictions

    • Transport or equipment failures

In such cases, we will aim to reschedule or refund at our discretion.

9. Social Media & Content Use

  • Masata Events reserves the right to photograph the setup and use images for marketing, portfolio, or social media.

  • No guest photos or private client details will be used without written consent.

  • Clients may request no photography in writing before the event.

10. Complaints

  • Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 5 working days of the event.

  • We aim to resolve all matters fairly and promptly.

By booking with Masata Events, the client acknowledges and accepts the above Terms & Conditions. This document should be read alongside the main Client Contract.
